Marc Jacobs/ Spring 2010

Here are my Marc Jacob’s Springwear picks from his latest catwalk, showcased at London Fashion Week and creating an essence of what’s in store for fashion‐forward females next year. Jacobs has managed to collaborate prim frills and pale pastels with warm berry and ashed grey with his future collection, with this contrast creating a signature […]

Have you bought a pair of bandals?

A bandal you say? Well, in fashion circuits this is the name given to this new type of shoe considered a cross between a boot and a sandal, presumably from the same fashionistas who invented the term ‘jeggings’ (jeans/leggings). The most popular cultural reference […]

Power Dressing

Marc Jacobs, Yves Saint Laurent and Zac Posen created a strong, adrogenous, powerful look on runways this season, with the tailored woman’s suit making a definitive comeback. Whilst Marc Jacobs and Zac Posen (far left and far right) went for a less fitted approach with sheer fabrics, Yves Saint Laurent channelled high waists and structured jackets.

Summer Trend: Pretty Punk

Anna Sui (left) and Betsey Johnson have turned punk girly this season, incorporating bows, jewellery and frocks with hard edged tones and full frontal grunge glamour. Marc Jacobs in his newest line has also channelled this look, pairing tough leather boots with oversized knits, slogan tees and patterned leggings. Get this look on the high […]
